Oncidium Alliance

The Oncidium alliance is beautifull! They might have the most amazing drawings on their flowers and a large diversity of colours (sometimes almost like tiger prints) if you compare them with other orchid species. Furthermore there are more than 300 varieties that are originally from America. Because of the many new crossings they have made there are a lot of different varieties available. Because of all those varieties they have given this multilateral group a new name “Cambria”.

Cambria is actually an invalid collective name which originally belongs to Vuylstekeara Cambria "Plush" = Vuystekeara Rubra x Odontoglossum Clonius. We have given this group of plants another name because, according to us, it suites better with the large variety of plants. The following plants are an example of the Oncidium alliance group: Beallarra, brassia, Burrageara, Colmanara, Degarmoara, Miltassia, Miltonidium, Odontioda, Odontocidium, Sanderara, Vuylstekeara, Wilsonara.
