Cattleya

This is one of the first cultivated varieties that became very popular years ago but was forgotten for a while. Within the orchid group the flower of the Cattleya belongs to one of the most beautiful and eye catching of all.
The genus contains about 75 varieties that are originally from Mexico till Brasil. Some genus hybrids that are the most well known in the tradebusiness are for example: Brassocattleya, Cattleytonia, Epicattleya, Laelia, Laeliocattleya, Potinara, Iwanagara. All of these crossings are very important for the customer because of the large flowers, the colours, and flowering time of the year. They are available the entire year and their high season starts from spring till fall.
